Coverage Overview

Prior to application, qualified healthcare professionals (QHPs) should confirm or clarify coding and coverage with their respective local Medicare contractor, as each contractor may have differing formal or informal coding or coverage policies. QHPs should also obtain prior authorization from private payers or Medicaid, where applicable.

QHPs are responsible for accurate documentation of patient conditions and appropriate reporting of procedures and products..

Indications and Contraindications

OASIS® Matrix products are indicated for the management of wounds including:

  • Partial- and full-thickness wounds
  • Pressure ulcers
  • Venous ulcers
  • Chronic vascular ulcers
  • Tunneled and/or undermined wounds
  • Diabetic ulcers
  • Trauma wounds (abrasions, lacerations, second-degree burns, skin tears)
  • Draining wounds
  • Surgical wounds (donor sites/grafts, post-Mohs' surgery, post-laser surgery, podiatric,
    wound dehiscence)

OASIS® Matrix products are contraindicated in patients with a known sensitivity to porcine material. OASIS® Matrix products are not indicated for third degree burns.
